The Cairns to Canberra Mission [Mark 2]
In the aviation industry, we have had some serious underlying issues. These issues are likely to cause terminal problems if not properly dealt with by the regulator.
Since the Mission started, there have been numerous people who have come out of the woodwork. These include:
The Mission left Cairns on the 8th October 2014 following a meeting with local member Mr. Warren Entsch, travelling via Townsville, Bundaberg and reaching Brisbane on 13th October, then Toowoomba, Glen Innes, Tamworth, Scone to Sydney on the 18th reaching Canberra in time to view Aviation House on the Sunday afternoon. The Senate estimates were viewed on Monday evening and a submission made to Senators Heffernan, Fawcett and Sterle. The estimates saw farqartson, aleck and others in a poor answering of questions put by the Senators. By Tuesday, there was a meeting with a senior casa person and his assistant. Further meetings were with people who are asking serious questions of how the industry is operating on Wednesday. Thursday saw Wagga and Albury visited, with the mission being extended to Melbourne and on to Taralgon. Mission control sees Woolongong today [Monday 27th October 2014] MTF and PIX The following have been previously published and for those who wish to do some more reading on the matter, are as follows: The Caravan to Canberra from Cairns | Assistance to the Aviation Industry Cairns to Canberra Caravan reaches the Capital for meetings | Assistance to the Aviation Industry John McCormick and Senator Ian McDonald ? I wasn’t going to bother with this reincarnated thread of two already shut down until I read this on what is allegedly an authoritative website on aviation matters.
Quote:
All this is written by “Concerned Aviator” who probably has a different nom-de-plume on PPRuNe (any ideas who that might be?). The reason the threads keep getting closed is that people are calling BS on the whole premise of the threads. I imagine that Concerned Aviator will be able to blog that another thread on the topic has been shut down again by those Commo Moderators who don’t value the democratic right of free speech. I’m certain that this BB is not meant to be used as advertising for someone elses BB. Then again what do the rules matter in a free and democratic society. |
