AirServices – #ASA CEO – Staib gone

AirServices – #ASA CEO gone

The CEO has been under extreme pressure for the past month and the announcement today signals that the “flak” was too great.

I witnessed Ms Staib being grilled by the Senate estimates committee and in the harsh light of day and who was not faring well at all.

There have been some serious issues at play here:

Fraud: http://vocasupport.com/air-services-manager-fraud/

Excessive Aviation costs: http://vocasupport.com/former-casa-board-chair-dick-smith-speaks-on-unsubstantiated-aviation-costs/

Maybe the changes slowily grinding on in #casa, [http://vocasupport.com/corporate-governance-in-casa-july-2015/] have made it across to #asa [AirServices]

31 Jul 2015

Airservices Australia, the national air traffic provider, has announced that Margaret Staib, Chief Executive Officer will not be renewing her term in October and will leave Airservices in August this year. Ms Staib’s decision has been prompted by her decision to focus on her short term personal health.
The Chairman of Airservices Australia, Air Chief Marshal Sir Angus Houston states “Ms Staib has made a significant contribution to Airservices and achieved considerable success during her term.”
“Ms Staib will be missed by colleagues and Airservices wishes her every success in the future.”
“Airservices is in the process of selecting a new CEO. In the interim, Mr JasonHarfieldhas been appointed as Airservices Acting CEO”.
